LYRIEL-Bandmitbegründer und -leader Oliver Thierjung hat seinen Ausstieg bei der deutschen Gothic / Folk Metal-Band bekannt gegeben. Als Gründe führt er gesundheitliche an. Trotz des Ausstiegs kann sich der Gitarrist und Songwriter jedoch ein Nebenprojekt mit LYRIEL-Sängerin und Schwester Jessica Thierjung vorstellen.

Dear Friends,
with this note to all of you I want to announce, that I will not longer be a part of the band Lyriel.
This is no decision against the band which was always a huge part of my life – probably the biggest and most important part of it!
I was a member and founder from the very beginning and we lived through many high and lows together. I didn´t come to this decision easily. A few reasons I want to now share with you:
First of all I had to cut back due to health problems and a bunch of treatment I had to undergo since last summer. Therefor I was not able to fulfill most of the tasks that I once did in the band. I can not overlook anymore that I have to take care of myself and concentrate on my own life.
But don´t worry! My recovery is progressing and I am almost ok!
Although I am going to leave the band I will probably still compose or maybe do a side project together with Jessi. But we will see…
It feels great to finally have the time to do the stuff that I was not able to do because of my many commitments to the band!
And although I am very sad to leave I know that it is the right decision!
I want to thank you all for your support throughout the years! It would not have been possible without you! All the good memories I will treasured dearly!
