Die polnische Death-/Black-Metal-Band BEHEMOTH veröffentlichen noch dieses Jahr ihr mittlerweile zehntes Studioalbum. Die neue Platte trägt den Titel "The Satanist" und wurde in den Hertz Studios eingespielt. Frontmann Nergal veröffentlichte folgendes Statement:

"It took us over two decades to come up with a title that...says it all. While our new songs artistically take surprisingly adventurous directions, our message stands steadfast- Proud and Radical. »The Satanist« stands for undying yearning for liberation and love for freedom in all aspects of life. Considering all our life experiences that often took dramatic curves I couldn´t think of more appropriate and fitting statement of who and where we are now."

"The Satanist" erscheint im Herbst 2013 über Nuclear Blast.

BEHEMOTH sind mit ihrem aktuellen Album "Evangelion" auf Platz 59 der deutschen Albumcharts eingestiegen.

BEHEMOTH haben das Veröffentlichungsdatum ihres neuen Album veröffentlichen  "Evangelion" bekannt gegeben: Die CD erscheint am 7. August 2009.  
Gemischt wurde "Evangelion" im von Colin Richardson im Miloco Studio in London. Das Cover des Albums ist von Tomasz Danilowicz.
