Die Technical Death / Symphonic Black Metal-Band SINGULARITY hat mit “Sisyphean Cycle” einen zweiten Track ihres neuen Albums “Place of Chains” veröffentlicht. Zuvor ist schon ein Lyric-Video zu “Ritual of Regret” erschienen.
“Place of Chains” ist nach “Singularity” (2014) das zweite Album der Band aus Arizona, der Gitarrist und Sänger Jack Fliegler (TOXICXETERNITY, Ex-HEMOPTYSIS), Bassist und Sänger Adam King (DEPRAVED HERETIC) und Drummer Nathan Bigelow (ARKAIK, Ex-ALTERBEAST) angehören. Im Schaffen ebenso aktiv war Keyboarder Nick Pompliano, der jedoch im Mai des Vorjahres verstorben ist.
Das zweite Album von SINGULARITY wurde mit einem Cover-Artwork von Justin Abraham (u.a. für INANIMATE EXISTENCE tätig) ausgestattet. Gemixt wurde das Album von Mike Low (INFERI, OUBLIETTE), während Zak Denham (ANAGNORISIS) das Mastering über hatte.
Als Gast-Musiker sind zudem Malcolm Pugh (INFERI, A LOATHING REQUIEM), Jared Christianson (ARKAIK), Jeremy Davis (ANIMUS COMPLEX) und Nick Padovani (EQUIPOISE, VIRULENT DEPRAVITY) mit von der Partie.
Zum Titel des Albums meint die Band: “”Place of Chains” is the translation to the song title “Desmoterion” which lyrically illustrates the emotions of being wrongfully imprisoned. Considering that many of the songs on this record lyrically are about enslavement, we felt it was a good over-arching title for the record.”
“Place of Chains” von SINGULARITY wird am 11. Oktober 2019 via The Artisan Era erscheinen.
