Die Death Metal-Band OBSCENE hat mit “Black Hole of Calcutta” einen Video-Clip von ihrem aktuellen Album “The Inhabitable Dark” veröffentlicht. Es ist das erste Album des Quartetts aus Indianapolis, das zuvor mit “Sermon to the Snake” (2017) eine EP veröffentlicht hat.
“The Inhabitable Dark” wurde in den Earth Analog Studios in Tolono aufgenommen. Gemixt wurde das Album von Carl Byers (u.a. für VOID KING tätig), während Damian Herring (HORRENDOUS) das Mastering über hatte. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Mark Riddick (FETID ZOMBIE, Ex-FOLKEARTH).
Das Debütalbum von OBSCENE wird am 15. Mai 2020 via Blood Harvest Records erscheinen. Zuvor sind die Songs “Bless the Giver of Oblivion” und “Isolated Dumping Grounds” erschienen. Zum Inhalt des letztgenannten Songs sagt Sänger Kyle Shaw: “The song is about a man who kills but doesn´t want to. Once he had found an isolated dumping ground for a victim, the urge consumes him to a point of uncontrollable impulse.”
