THE WAY OF PURITY haben mit “Rootrot” ein weiteres Lyric-Video von ihrem aktuellen Album “Schwarz Oder Rot” veröffentlicht. Es ist das vierte Album der veganen Naturschützer, deren letztes Album, “The Majesty of Your Becoming”, bereits fünf Jahre zurück liegt. Zurück gekehrt ist dagegen Sängerin LostMyFaith (THE SHIVER), die 2010 auch schon beim Debütalbum “Crosscore” mitgewirkt hat.
“Schwarz Oder Rot” beschäftigt sich einmal mehr mit der Lieblings-Thematik von THE WAY OF PURITY: der Huldigung der Tiere und der Natur. Beziehungsweise ist das Album als Soundtrack für das Ende der Menschheit angedacht.
“The human race will be brutally exterminated. Animals and Nature will rule the planet again with their integrity. The Anthropocentric lie has to come to an end and humans have to see the terrifying and piercing effigy of horror that they have inflicted on animals for ages. Humanity is ill, infected with the worst disease that is called Speciesism. “Schwarz Oder Rot” – “Black or Red” is about your choice. “Black”, the end, now…. It´s your choice. A quick death by your own hands, without suffering and by choosing the way to die. “Red” go ahead, keep on living and see the end of the world. You´ll go through suffering which humans will have to expect in less than 20 years. It´s time to chose… Black or Red!”, so die Band.
Die Band ist vom neuen Album begeistert: “We believe that this is our best record ever, as it features many strong points that we have been able to showcase in our previous 3 releseas. The mechanical brutality of “Crosscore”, the melodic and apocalyptic epicness of “Equate” and the electronic / industrial vibes of “The Majesty Of Your Becoming”. A lot of new influences have been added… ideas such as the indie rock/shoegaze riffs and vibes, darkwave patterns and the male vocals which are a new element.”
Weiterhin haben THE WAY OF PURITY auch eine Handvoll von Gast-Musikern geladen: “The collaborations with various amazing guests have enriched the album with their great external input. Bolverk from RAGNAROK has given his black metal touch, Rachel Aspe (Ex-ETHS) has turned her song into something absolutely devastating with her incendiary vocals, Polina Larsen (THE UNHALLOWED) has opened one of the special parts to the point of moving the listeners and Phil Stiles from FINAL COIL has created the perfect funeral soundtrack for human kind with the album´s outro.”
“Schwarz Oder Rot” ist am 10. Januar 2020 via Wormholedeath erschienen. Vorab sind mit “The Plague” und “Spectral” bereits erste Single-Auskopplung erschienen.
