Die Power / Progressive Metal-Band METATRONE und deren Sänger Jo Lombardo gehen fortan getrennte Wege. Der Sänger ist gemeinsam mit Gitarrist Stefano Calvagno und Keyboarder Davide Bruno das längst dienende Bandmitglied gewesen. Doch nach über 15 Jahren ist Schluss.
Grund für die Trennung ist Lombardos Konzentration auf sein Solo-Projekt: “After many years working with the band, 4 albums released and a lot of shows in Italy and abroad, time has come to focus on my solo project that allows me to get closer to melodic rock and AOR. This is the reason of my leaving: I could not guarantee to METATRONE a total focus on the next album and future shows.”
METATRONE arbeitet derzeit an einem Nachfolger zum aktuellen Album “Eucharismetal”. Wer der neue Sänger bei den Italienern sein wird, ist noch nicht bekannt.
