Die Death-Doom Metal-Band WEEPING SORES hat mit “Scars Whispering Secret Tongues” den Opener ihres kommenden Albums “False Confession” veröffentlicht. Es ist das erste Album des Trios aus New York, das zuvor eine selbstbetitelte EP veröffentlicht hatte.
WEEPING SORES sind Sänger, Gitarrist und Bassist Doug Moore (PYRRHON), Drummer Steve Schwegler (PYRRHON) und Violinistin Gina Eygenhuysen (INDIAN BLANKET).
Über die Ausrichtung der Band sagt Doug Moore: “The whole concept of doom/death with a violin can sound pretty cheesy coming from most bands that aren´t MY DYING BRIDE, but it´s a bit of an accident of fate that WEEPING SORES ended up with that combination of sounds. The original concept of the band was pretty different and didn´t have a violin, but I happened to meet Gina around when I was starting to write for the project, and she was so gifted on the instrument that I felt compelled to ask if she was interested in collaborating.”
“False Confession” wurde von Chris Grigg (WOE) produziert und von Greg Chandler (ESOTERIC, LYCHGATE) gemastert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Caroline Harrison (u.a. PYRRHON tätig).
Das Debütalbum von WEEPING SORES wird am 13. September 2019 via I, Voidhanger Records erscheinen.
