Mit “Cursed To The Pyre” wird in einigen Wochen das neue Album der Black / Thrash Metal-Band SLAUGHTER MESSIAH erscheinen. Es ist das erste Album der Belgier nach einer Reihe von EPs.
“Cursed To The Pyre” wurde gemeinsam mit Nguaroth (AGUYNGUERRAN, Ex-ENTHRONED) aufgenommen und von Chris Menning (ZARATHUSTRA; Ex-DESTRöYER 666) gemixt. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Rok (Ex-SADISTIK EXEKUTION).
Über die Musik an sich erzählt SLAUGHTER MESSIAH-Drummer John Berry: “We play the way the ancient masters taught us, no matter where they came from. What you could call typical for our home country may be our beer consumption and my personal preference for Bastos cigarettes. I like to think that the source of our music comes from a lot deeper than just listening to the classics. While there is nothing wrong with that, you quickly turn into an uninspired, generic or watered down version of it all.”
Neben John Berry sind auch noch die Gitarristen Dorl “Exhumator” Mathos und Rodrigue Soudant sowie Sänger und Bassist Franck Lorent (Ex-ENTHRONED) Teil von SLAUGHTER MESSIAH.
“Cursed To The Pyre” wird am 21. Februar 2020 via High Roller Records erscheinen.
