Die Progressive Rock-Band KAYO DOT hat mit “Turbine, Hook, and Haul” einen Video-Clip von ihrem neuen Album “Blasphemy” veröffentlicht. Es ist das neunte Album der Band aus Boston rund um Toby Driver (Ex-MAUDLIN OF THE WELL), der über das Video sagt: “It´s an ominous, piano-driven dirge foreshadowing the well-deserved fate of the guilty. Atop: crashing ocean waves, a choir of ghosts; in the sky, a lone horn sounds the heavenly wail of the Angel of Blasphemy. The whole world is a mushroom cloud …”
“Blasphemy” basiert auf einer allegorischen Geschichte von Sänger Jason Byron, der ebenso Teil von KAYO DOT und MAUDLIN OF THE WELL gewesen ist. Die Story handelt von der Gier – insbesondere von der politischen Gier – und begleitet drei Charaktere, die auf der Suche nach Schätzen sind.
Das neue Album von KAYO DOT wurde von Randall Dunn (u.a. für SUN O))) tätig) produziert und wird am 6. September 2019 via Prophecy Productions erscheinen.
