Die belgische Doom Metal-Band AKEM MANAH präsentiert ihr neues Album „Threnodies“ mit einer zweiten Single: Nach dem Lyric-Video zu „The End Of Earnest Hollow“ ist nun auch „The Burning of John Briggs“ als Lyric-Video via YouTube abrufbar.

„John Briggs, ein Karnevals-Strongman, der von Überzeugung und Schuldgefühlen zerfressen ist, verwechselt die Apokalypse mit einer Wiederbelebung. Was als religiöse Inbrunst beginnt, wird zu einem Karneval aus Feuer und Wahnsinn. Der Track ist fiebrig und schildert die endgültige Verwandlung des Glaubens in Spektakel und Asche“, erklärt die Band.

„Threnodies“ erscheint am 3. April 2026 via Black Lion Records.
