Die Death Metal-Band WAYWARD DAWN hat mit “Haven of Lies” ihr neues Album angekündigt. Es ist nach “Soil Organic Matter” (2018) das zweite Album der Dänen. Das Album behandelt menschliche Handlungsroutinen bei Krisen. “It questions our ability to confront reality in order to cope with the harshness of the situation, thus creating a haven of lies”, so die Band.
“Haven of Lies” wurde im Dead Rat Studio in Aarhus aufgenommen und von Jacob Bredahl (THE KANDIDATE, Ex-HATESPHERE) gemixt. Dieser war von der jungen Band durchaus angetan: “Always a pleasure working with no-nonsense bands. WAYWARD DAWN delivers no bullshit old school death metal, from when daddy here was young. Three and half days was all it took these young lads to get the shit in the box. Good times”.
Das Mastering lag in den Händen von Brad Boatright (u.a. für FULL OF HELL tätig), während Leifur Nielsen das Intro “Misery” beigesteuert hat. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Simon Gardarsson.
WAYWARD DAWN sind Gitarrist und Sänger Rasmus Johansen, Bassist und Sänger Kasper Szupienko Petersen, Gitarrist Jakob Kristensen sowie Drummer Lukas Nysted.
“Haven of Lies” von WAYWARD DAWN wird am 10. April 2020 via Mighty Music erscheinen. Vorab gibt es mit “Apathy ” einen Video-Clip
