Die Black Metal-Band VALDRIN wird in einigen Wochen mit “Effigy of Nightmares” ihr neues Album veröffentlichen. Es ist nach “Beyond the Forest” (2014) und “Two Carrion Talismans” (2018) das dritte Album der Band aus Cincinnati.
Das Album dreht sich wie auch der Vorgänger um den Antagonisten eines selbstkreierten Mythos, Nex Animus. Sänger und Gitarrist Carter Hicks erklärt dazu: “The story chronicles the tour of a nameless narrator through the halls of Hosptium Mortis, the nightmare hospital below the Orcus underworld itself, where Nex tortures and lobotomizes the dissident gods of his domain.”
“Effigy of Nightmares” von VALDRIN wurde mit einem Cover-Artwork von Lucas Ruggieri (u.a. für EXHUMED tätig) ausgestattet und wird am 12. Juni 2020 via Blood Harvest erscheinen. Vorab gibt es den Song “Red Burning Candles of Hatred” zu hören.
