Die Progressive Sludge Metal-Band ZHORA hat mit “Coke Vulture” einen ersten Song von ihrem kommenden Album “Mortals” veröffentlicht. Es ist nach “Almaz” (2013) und “Ethos, Pathos, Logos” (2017) das dritte Album der Iren.
Die sechs Songs auf “Mortals” handeln jeweils von Frustration, wie Drummer Tom Woodlock erklärt: “The songs all share the connection of being frustrated at something that´s out of your control, or controlling you or someone you care about. Sometimes there´s not much more you can do, than just scream into the wind about it. Across this record, it´s mainly severe mental issues, substance abuse, clerical abuse, death in general, just stuff that you can´t change. But you can rage about these things, and that is healthy and correct to do, which is the main theme for “Mortals” – “Life sucks, get it off your chest.””
“Mortals” wurde abermals von Aidan Cunningham in den Bluebird Studios in Straffan produziert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von James Sheridan.
ZHORA sind Sänger und Gitarrist Colin Bolger, Gitarrist Pancho O Meara, Drummer Tom Woodlock sowie Bassist Alan Hanlon.
