Mit “III” wird in einigen Wochen das neue Album der Progressive Black Metal-Band IN HUMAN FORM erscheinen. Es ist entsprechend dem Titel nach “Earthen Urn” (2013) und “Opening of the Eye by the Death of the I” (2016) das dritte Album der Band aus Massachusetts.
“There were many new avenues that we experimented with, especially guitar solos”, klärt Gitarrist Nicholas Clark zum neuen Album auf. “That really tested out limits and dug up some interesting influences. A track like “Weeping Stones” was actually recorded live with a few overdubs, to give it much more emotion and tightness; and I ended up using the Mellotron quite extensively as well, as a nod to our 70´s prog influences.”
Der zweite Gitarrist von IN HUMAN FORM, Dave Kaminsky, zeichnet für Mix und Master verantwortlich. Weitere Band-Mitglieder sind Drummer Rich Dixon, Bassist Shalin Shah und Sänger Patrick Dupras.
“III” wurde mit einem Cover-Artwork von Kishor Haulenbeek (u.a. für AUTUMN TEARS tätig) ausgestattet und wird am 13. Dezember 2019 via I, Voidhanger Records erscheinen. Vorab gibt es den gekürzten Opener “Apocrypha Carrion” zu hören.
