Die Death Metal-Band BLOOD INCANTATION hat mit “Slave Species of the Gods” einen weiteren Video-Clip von ihrem kommenden Album “Hidden History of the Human Race” veröffentlicht. Das Video hat dabei einen Old-School-Touch. “Filmed directly onto VHS, the video contains an aesthetic similar to many of our favorite old recordings of classic bands while also being engagingly trippy”, erklärt die Band und führt zum Song an sich weiter aus: “Being the first track on the record, “Slave Species of the Gods” is meant as a full force brutalizer, going non-stop over the course of its relatively short five minutes and thirty-one seconds.”
Zuvor ist mit “Inner Paths (to Outer Space)” schon ein erster Video-Clip zum Album erschienen. Zu diesem Song meint die Band, dass er eine medidative Reise durch den inneren Kosmos des menschlichen Geistes sei. “We improvised this track on psychedelics over a period of several months, allowing it to grow and evolve as it chose. As probably one of the shortest guest appearances in music history, the sole growl towards the end has been performed by Antti Boman of the mighty DEMILICH! The atmosphere is meant to allow the listener time and space to explore their own thoughts and go on their own journey before the epic brutality of the album returns for the final track”, führen die US-Amerikaner weiter aus.
“Hidden History of the Human Race” ist nach “Starspawn” (2016) das zweite Album des Quartetts aus Denver. Diesem gehören Sänger und Gitarrist Paul Riedl, Bassist Jeff Barrett, Gitarrist Morris Kolontyrsky (jeweils SPECTRAL VOICE) sowie Drummer Isaac Faulk (WAYFARER) an.
Das neue Album von BLOOD INCANTATION wurde von Pete DeBoer (u.a. für EIGENLICHT tätig) in den World Famous Studios in Denver produziert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt ebenso wie die Original 70er-Jahre Zeichnungen im Booklet von Bruce Pennington (Mitte der 90er-Jahre auch schon für SOLSTICE tätig).
“Hidden History of the Human Race” von BLOOD INCANTATION wird am 22. November 2019 via Century Media Records bzw. Dark Descent Records erscheinen.
