Die Death / Thrash Metal-Band CURIMUS hat mit “72” einen animierten Video-Clip von ihrem aktuellen Album “Garden of Eden” veröffentlicht.
Im Oktober ist mit “God Eater” das bislang vorletzte Video erschienen. Das Video wurde von Vesa Tyni gereht – einem renommierten Fotografen, der sich erstmals an eine Video-Prduktion heran wagte. “As I was given full artistic freedom with the production, I decided I wanted to impart an important message through comedy. As a fan of old horror films I draw atmosphere from my 80´s favourites, like “Evil Dead”. I definitely wanted the band to be involved as actors, and place these great personalities in an unusual position. The idea behind the video is the eternal confrontation, where religions determine the boundaries of right and wrong.”
Zuvor sind schon die Video-Clips zu “Eradication Manifest” und “Ignite” erschienen. “Garden of Eden” ist nach “Realization” (2012) und “Artificial Revolution” (2014) das dritte Album der Finnen.
“New material is faster and darker, all wrapped up in an uncompromising soundscape”, erklärt Bassist Juho Manninen, der das Album auch produziert hat. “The themes of the songs revolve around human selfishness, fecklessness and injustice in all its forms. At the end this world is the Garden of Eden, where no one is happy.”
CURIMUS sind Sänger Marko Silvennoinen (ADRAMELECH), Bassist Juho Manninen, Gitarrist Tommi Ahlroth und Drummer Jari Nieminen. Als Gast-Sänger ist zudem David Bower (HELL) zu hören.
“Garden of Eden” wurde von Jaakko Viitalähde (u.a. für ORANSSI PAZUZU tätig) gemastert und wird am 30. Oktober 2020 erscheinen.
