Die Horror Punk-Band THE GHOULSTARS hat einen Labeldeal bei Season of Mist unterschrieben. Im Zuge dessen werden die Finnen mit „The Dark Overlords of the Universe“ ihr neues und erstes Album veröffentlichen.
„“The Dark Overlords of the Universe“ ist ein Liebesbrief an unser fünfzehnjähriges Ich“, sagt Gitarrit Markus Laakso (Ex-KUOLEMANLAAKSO). „Es ist vollgepackt mit Headbanging-Metal-Riffs, Punkrock-Refrains zum Mitsingen, B-Movie-Easter-Eggs, 80er-Jahre-Ästhetik, überraschenden Wendungen und der puren Freude, wenn alle Teile an die richtige Stelle fallen.“
„The Dark Overlords of the Universe“, das am 15. Mai 2026 erscheinen wird, wurde von V. Santura im Woodshed Studio gemixt und gemastert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Niko Anttila. Vorab gibt es zum Opener „Too Ghoul for School“ einen Video-Clip.
