Die Black / Death Metal-Band SKAPHOS hat einen Labeldeal bei Transcending Obscurity Records unterschrieben. Im Zuge dessen werden die Franzosen ihr neues Album „Cult of Uzura“ veröffentlichen. Es ist nach „Bathyscaphe“ (2020) und „Thooï“ (2022) das dritte Album der 2018 gegründeten Band aus Lyon und wird am 9. Mai 2025 erscheinen.

„Cult of Uzura“ wurde vom (neuen) Drummer Nathan Faure aufgenommen und gemixt und von Thibault Chaumont (u.a. für ULVER tätig) gemastert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Paolo Girardi. Vorab gibt es nach einem Video-Clip zum Titeltrack, dem Video-Clip zu „Abyssal Tower“ und dem Song „Skaphism“ mit „Hypoxia“ nun einen weiteren Track.
