Die Hardcore-Band PURGE hat mit “Influenza” eine erste Single veröffentlicht. Damit wurde das britische Quartett rund um Gitarrist Timfy James (Ex-HACKTIVIST), Sänger George Noble (Ex-YOUR DEMISE), Bassist Vishal Khetia (HEART OF A COWARD) und Drummer Perry Smith erstmals vorstellig.
Über den Song sagt Sänger George Noble: “The song is about a sickness creeping into our lives as we are being separated from reality. We rely on influence and friendships from people we don´t know, over social media.” Daher nimmt er auch gleich die Schuldigen ins Visier: “Influencers are people that should have no social bearing on us as they are usually sycophantic and self-obsessed.”
“Influenza” wurde in den Old School Studios aufgenommen und von Gitarrist Timfy James produziert.
