Die Progressive Metal-Band CHIASMATA hat mit “Foreboding” eine weitere Single und dazu auch gleich einen Video-Clip veröffentlicht.
Zum Song meint die Band: “When writing “Foreboding” we wanted to confront some uncomfortable topics and see what that cathartic process would produce. In confronting these topics, the compositional ideas that quickly materialised set the tone for the entire track – tension that only finds temporary relief before clawing its way back. The reprieve of stripping back the instrumentation was immediately challenged by the use of odd metres; the lyrical concepts that were being explored manifested their ebbs and flows in dramatic, dynamic shifts throughout. This was a window that we couldn´t close once we had opened it, serving to produce a track that has a troubled identity all of its own.”
Im Dezember 2019 erschien die Single “Absolution“, zu welcher die Band aus Manchester meinte: “In writing “Absolution” we found ourselves producing a very comfortable piece of music that addressed an ultimately uncomfortable subject matter – this in a way was as alien to us as some of the more extreme composition that we had written up to this point. This was furthered by the addition of choral sections and electronic interludes that we feel are as integral to the song´s identity as the instrumentation in painting the picture.”
“Foreboding“, das von Dave Klussman gemixt und gemastert wurde, ist nach “Absolution” und “Haustorium” eine weitere Single-Auskopplung eines zukünftigen Releases. Zuvor ist die selbstbetitelte EP “Chiasmata” erschienen.
