Via facebook haben BLUES PILLS die Trennung von ihrem Gitarristen Dorian Sorriaux bekannt gegeben. Die Band arbeitet trotzdem weiter an ihrem dritten Album, die Gitarrenparts dafür übernehmen Bassist Zack Anderson und Rickard Nygren, der die Band als Tourgitarrist unterstützt.
Während BLUES PILLS keine Gründe für den Split nannten, schreibt Dorian Sorriaux auf facebook, dass ihn die Rock-Riffs ermüdet hätten. Sorriaux hat im Sommer die EP “Hungry Ghost“ mit Singer/Songwriter-Tracks veröffentlicht.

After 6 productive and nurturing years with Dorian Sorriaux as guitarist in Blues Pills, we will now part ways. New adventures surely awaits us all. We wish Dorian all the best in his future musical endeavors and thank him for this time together. Despite this change, we have been working hard on a 3rd album in our studio that we built over the last few years in our hometown of Örebro. Zack and Rickard are taking over the guitar roles on the new recordings, and we are very excited for the new music to come in 2019!
