Die Rock / Psychedelic Pop-Band SAD PLANETS hat mit “Just Landed” einen Video-Clip von ihrem kommenden Album “Akron, Ohio” veröffentlicht. Als Gast-Musiker wirkt bei diesem Song J. Mascis (DINOSAUR JR., SWEET APPLE) an der Lead-Gitarre mit. “J (Mascis) grabbed my guitar and just started playing along so we hit record,” erklärt SAD PLANETS-Mitbegründer John Petkovic (SWEET APPLE) die Zusamenarbeit.
Ähnlich zufällig erscheinet auch die Entstehungsgeschichte von “Akron, Ohio” zu sein: “It sums up the entire process… we would come up with chords and songs on the spot. Patrick (Carney) asked if I wanted to come to Akron to jam with him in the studio; I saw it as a chance to work with a longtime friend, but also an opportunity to reconnect with Akron in a very different way.” So ist das erste Album des SAD PLANETS-Duos entstanden.
“Akron, Ohio” von SAD PLANETS ist am 19 April 2019 via Tee Pee Records erschienen.
