COLD BLOOD INDUSTRIES, das Label von GOD DETHRONED-Sänger und Gitarrist Henri Sattler, gibt es nicht mehr. Gegründet wurde COLD BLOOD INDUSTRIES mit dem Ziel, Alben von Bands aus den Niederlanden zu veröffentlichen, es erschienen dort unter anderem Alben von THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT und I.N.R.I.. Die Inhaber Henri Sattler, Rogier Bros und Berthus Westerhuis geben als Grund für die Auflösung des Labels an, dass ihr Einsatz nicht den gewünschten Erfolg zeigte und dass sie sich deshalb entschieden haben, COLD BLOOD INDUSTRIES trotz einer noch immer gesunden Finanzsituation aufzugeben. Ganz aus dem Geschäft ziehen sie sich dennoch nicht zurück, sie werden sich nun voll auf EBONY TEARS, ursprünglich im Sommer 2003 als Unterlabel von COLD BLOOD INDUSTRIES gegründet, konzentrieren. In addition to the recently published news about our record label we would like to add some things, because the news that has been published till now shows a very negative scenario.
Cold Blood Industries´ main goal was to push and release Dutch extreme bands mainly, because we had the feeling that there was so much quality around here that didn´t get picked up by any label, so we decided to do it.
We now know that this was an extremely difficult task.
The amount of energy we put into it didn´t come back in the results.
This in combination with the current situation in the music industry in general have made us take the decision to stop signing and releasing bands on CBI while our financial situation is still healthy.
The sublabel Ebony Tears (started in the summer of 2003) proved to be a much more succesful idea (for some kind of reason) on which we will now fully concentrate. As Anita Boel (Aardschok) stated in a review recently; Ebony Tears is a label that has only released good material till now…
The mailorder will continue as normal (through the Cold Blood Industries website) and also the availability of the released titles will not be endangered.
We are very proud of our releases and bands and even more proud of the fact that we managed to build some of them up to actually well known acts (The Wounded (now on Ebony Tears), I.N.R.I, The Monolith Deathcult, to name a few).
Ebony Tears has emerged from a sublabel to our main label now and expect some great stuff coming up !
