Die Progressive Metal-Band AVANDRA hat nach dem Lyric-Video zu “Celestial Wreaths” mit “Afferent Realms” einen Video-Clip von ihrem kommenden Album “Skylighting” veröffentlicht. Es ist nach “Tymora” (2017) und “Descender” (2019) das dirtte Album der Band aus Puerto Rico.
“This new album is the response to our current situation in the world due to everything that has happened to us” erklärt Band-Gründer Christian Ayala. “It became a voyage of loss and return through cosmic cycles in which I both searched inward and outward, combining my love for philosophy and current events into songs.”
Neben Sänger und Gitarrist Christian Ayala Cruz, sind noch Gitarrist Luis Javier Rivera Guilbot, Drummer Adrián Arroyo Schuck und Bassist Gabriel Rodríguez Martinez Teil der Band. Als Gast konnte die Band Keyboarder Vikram Shankar (REDEMPTION, SILENT SKIES, LUX TERMINUS) für sich gewinnen.
“Skylighting” wurde von Daniel Schwartz (ASTRONOID) produziert und von Jamie King (u.a. für BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME tätig) gemastert. Das Cover-Artwork stammt von Mark Facey (u.a. für DRUIDS tätig).
Das neue Album von AVANDRA wird am 20. November 2020 via Layered Reality Productions erscheinen.
