GOATWHORE veröffentlichen am 4. Juli 2014 ein neues Album. "Constricting Rage of the Merciless" wurde im  Mana Recording Studio eingespielt, Produzent Eric Rutan sage über das Album: Dieses Album ist teilweise deshalb so dynamisch und gewaltig ausgefallen, weil wir Drums, Bass und das Gros der Rhythmusgitarren auf analogen Bändern mitgeschnitten haben. Goatwhore haben einen fetten Sound, und um den einzufangen, hielten wir eine analoge Aufnahme für das Beste, weil es sich einzigartig anfühlt."
