Jeff Waters steht derzeit mit drei Firmen in Verhandlungen, von denen eine die erste ANNIHILATOR-DVD in der 15-jährigen Karriere der Band veröffentlichen soll. Was genau alles auf der DVD drauf sein wird, ist derzeit noch nicht bekannt, Waters plant aber auf jeden Fall die DVD mit Tonnen von rarem Material vollzustopfen und das ganze dann im Februar 2005 in die Läden zu stellen.
Daneben ist der Gitarrist und Kopf von ANNIHILATOR derzeit mit mehreren Nebenprojekten beschäftigt. So hat es zum einen zumindest Gespräche mit Dave Mustaine (MEGADETH) gegeben, gleichzeitig hält sich Waters recht bedeckt über eine Zusammenarbeit mit einigen Leuten, die ihr alle kennt (und wenn ihr wüsstet wer es ist, würdet ihr euch die Hosen voll machen; ich tu es! Hehe!) Weiter führt der Kanadier aus: Außerdem habe ich eine Idee für ein Projekt mit Padden und mir. Einige der Jungs spielen derzeit in einer der drei größten Rock/Metal Bands der Welt und es wäre eine Ehre für Dave und mich, wenn es klappen würde. Wir sind Fans dieser Band und es sieht so aus, als würden SIE ANNIHILATOR schon seit Jahren mögen. Wow! Cool!
Was Jeff Waters derzeit für die Zukunft der Band noch so alles im Kopf rumspukt, das erfahrt ihr im Original-Statement:
I am talking to 3 companies about releasing a DVD. Looking good. The Campbell Brothers (of Chicken and Corn/Tour Trek/Stonewall fame) will be doing it so it will be a really entertaining DVD. Well worth the 15 year wait for a video/dvd release from us. I will let you know what will be on it but i can assure you, it will be a big-selling item. TONS of rare and priceless stuff. This REALLY will be a special thing. Trust me on that one!
Will keep you all up-to-date when things are worked out with one of the companies. I am targeting a Feb 2005 release for it.
Well, as you may have all heard, Mustaine and I are talking, or at least, we were. As much as I would love to play with that genius, not sure if that one will happen; lotsa talk but nothing firmed. Hopefully, at least, he and I can get together and write some wickedly sick metal someday!
BUT I can tell you that I am working on a project with a few people that you all know (and would s..t yer pants if you knew who they were; i am! hehe!)
As well, I have an idea for a project with Padden and I. A few of these guys are in one of the top 3 biggest hard rock/metal bands in the world right now and it would be an honor for Dave and I to do this one; we are fans of their band. Turns out that THEY have liked Annihilator for many years! Wow! Cool! Hope it happens and will let you all know, of course! I talk to them again in a week and a half.

Also cleaning my house. Dusty and I have allergies.
Also going through old boxes of stuff and finding many old riffs and gems from 15-20 years ago! Someday, I will release alot of this stuff for you fans. Probably some on the site here, too.
Also enjoyed a 4 week rest (with a bit of business squeezed in there! hehe!) in Hanover, Germany with my gal and son. What a beautiful country.
Annihilator? Hmmmm… I have some touring plans/offers/ideas but I think some of these other projects might put off those plans. The Judas Priest Europe Tour was a blast and we had some great guys this time; what a line-up!
And the new cd has done better than any since the late-nineties. YEAH! F..k the old-fart critics! hehehe! You fans told em that the new cd RULES. (how do i know? i looked at the sales figures! hehe!)
And I think I might release a 2nd DVD. It will be kinda half an instructional guitar/Annihilator video: me jammin to some of the songs/solos on the cds and playing some easy ones and hard ones. BUT the other half should be a really entertaining one: lots of me talking about how cds were recorded, tour of my studio, guitars, amps, all the neat and intersting stuff ya always wanted to know. AND ALOT OF RARE FOOTAGE AND AUDIO. So this will not be just for guitarists, but for bassists and all fans of Annihilator!
That 2nd DVD would not come out until long after the 1st main one!
