Na ja... hier sind jedenfalls

King Diamond-Interview in der

neuesten Ausgabe des "Grimoire of Exalted Deeds"...


"...the next album that will

be done will be King Diamond.

...We`re negotiating new contracts with Metal Blade and Massacre...We`re looking to do three more albums. Mercyful Fate did two albums after we did Voodoo. They did two back-to-back. I think we ought to do two King Diamonds as well now... We`re talking about a Mercyful Fate home dvd. A lot of behind the screens crazy stuff... some old shows that probably no one has ever seen... There will be a live album for the next tour... There`s another

interesting thing probably coming out this year. It`s Black Rose. I told you before

that some fans had heard it up in Dallas and they freaked out. Brian Slagel heard it too... I`m sure the fans will

really dig it. Probably around

Halloween, and it will be called "20 Years Later".

Der Hintergrund zu BLACK ROSE war mir soweit bekannt, mich hätte eigentlich interessiert, was der King da denn genau vor hat. Ich kann mir kaum vorstellen, dass er noch eine dritte Band "ins Leben rufen" möchte >g<

Black Rose war King`s Band,

bevor er zusammen mit Hank und Michael Denner bei den

Brats und dann bei Mercyful Fate gespielt hat... allerdings hab ich natürlich noch nie irgendwas von ihnen gehört, aber King beschreibt

in dem Interview die Band so

"The musical style is Rainbow,

Deep Purple... with the organ in there... a little Alice Cooper is there. It`s really cool music. It`s not as aggressive and raw as King Diamond".

Hört sich absolut klasse an!

Eine MERCYFUL FATE/KING DIAMOND DVD wäre echt ein absoluter Hammer. Hoffentlich weiß die Band/die Macher der DVD, die Vorteile des Mediums richtig zu nutzen, aber so wie man den King kennt, muss es ja eigentlich etwas perfektes oder gar nix geben. :-)


Weißt du eigentlich zufällig etwas mehr über diese "Black Rose" Sache?
