Why do YOU like humppa?

Hi, I´m a 17-year old student from Finland and I was assigned to do an essay concerning culture in Germany or in Finland. (In german, of course, but I prefer english ´cos my german is the worst.)

While surfing the net I came arcoss this "Monsters of Humppa"- festival and thought it would be nice to write about why do the Germans like finnish humppa, bands like Eläkeläiset and Pohjannaula.

So it would be nice if you had time to answer few short questions: Firstly, do you like finnish music or this so-called humppa? Why or why not? Don´t the finnish lyrics bother you?

Secondly, if you can remember, where did you hear finnish music/humppa music first time?

I dont understand more then perkele, humppa, saatanat, pöpi and poro. But thats not important if its fun.
