Die Landshuter Band COLTAN LEECH hat sich aufgelöst. Sänger und Gitarrist Fabs ist nach wie vor bei GRAVE NEW WORLD aktiv und Gitarrist Ferenc arbeitet an seinem elektronischen. Projekt LYMBS. Das Statement der Band im Anhang:

COLTAN LEECH IS TOAST

sometimes even the most stubborn optimist has to accept facts. in our case: coltan leech is dead. this is no knee-jerk decision.
since 2007 the band died a slow death, ´caused by various typical band diseases: less time, less motivation, no perspective and alienation to music and bandmembers. our last live show in 2009 was dreadful, in part to little commitment of certain members and to some extent by insufficient time to prepare properly.
thus no perspective for playing live with a proper line up (we tried though: thanks matthias!). which rendered any feeble attempts of recording/releasing a swan song obsolete.there is no point of sacrificing money and time to release an album which we can´t promote properly, which can´t be played live and has little resemblance to our past works.
we want to thank everyone who supported/helped/booked/listened (to) us during the last 7 years. special thanks:

in terms of future music and projects: there is a possibility that some of us will make music together again, but don´t count on it.
